Travel with fresh seafood.

Too often customers that bought our fresh shrimp or fish that asked us how to transport our seafood to another city by plane or auto, because they’re going to visit a family member or live in another city.

The best way to take your fresh seafood on a road trip is keeping it inside a poly bag or zip bag and place your seafood in ice chest with ice. If your trip takes many hours, you will need to replace the melted ice with fresh ice.

If your trip is more than 12 hours, consider freezing your seafood. It will last longer. You can check how long can you keep your frozen seafood here.

Flying with seafood? Yes, you can if it is properly packed for a safe trip. Passengers can carry seafood on board if it’s within TSA guidelines.

If you are flying on a domestic flight, seafood is permitted in both carry-on and checked bags. You can take your seafood in a cooler (Styrofoam) or other container with packs of ice or dry ice when take through the airport screening (visit TSA for more info).

This recommendation applies to domestic flights, you will need to know if the country you are going to allows you to import seafood.

We highly suggest you talk with the airline and get more info.
Or visit TSA website for more info.
